about

At first he pandemic was a blip. We thought it would be taken care of quickly. Now in our (then) second year of if we were/are losing our minds.

This album is about our collective experience of losing hope, seeing fascism prevail, the system falling apart before our eyes, and on an individual level the deterioration of our mental health. Drug use, escapism, depression, etc.

We have been living the same day over and over for almost two years. Liberals thought we defeated fascism by defeating Trump but the ideology persisted and metastasized.

Disillusion, doomer mentality has prevailed. We live in a dystopia and this is the soundtrack to that.

At the same time this has an effect on the individual as well. My own mental health has taken a turn for the worse and I fell into a depression before the making of this record.

My supporters. Salty Moon Arcade and Kris Roley deserve credit for this one too. They’re invaluable sources of inspiration, positivity, and encouragement.
